Travel day! Today we head to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our flight was not till the afternoon so we had time to pack up and do some home school. Our apartment had a combo washer/dryer in the unit which let us get every piece of laundry done. Always a big plus when having to pack for a flight. Ollie wrote a letter to Mihai asking about his new motorcycle and telling him about what he learned at the war museum. Another topic for their geopolitics discussions when we return to Hoboken.

After packing up we had to check out but still had an hour to kill so went to the hotel business center. I brought a leftover soup, that Kayleen had ordered, with me. She had been talking up this soup all week and ordered from the restaurant twice. Even cold it was amazing, I happily devoured it in the business center.

We headed to the airport and got dropped off but unknowingly at the domestic terminal. Once we realized we were at the wrong terminal and there was no easy way to get to the international terminal I was very mad. The tour company said they were sending the driver back but we already got a cab. They agreed to pay us back for the cab and refund us for the entire transfer to the airport. We wasted about an hour on the whole ordeal.

Once at the correct terminal we made our way to the lounge where everyone plugged in to charge their devices before the flight. We had some light food in the lounge then headed to our gate. The boys settled into their normal iPad routine on the short flight, only an hour.

Once we arrived at the hotel everyone was tired but we still needed to eat dinner. The place we are staying is called Sala Lodges and they had a nice little restaurant and bar where we had dinner. The boys were not on their best behavior and uninterested in most of the food. As soon as they were done Kayleen headed to the room with them while I waited to pay the bill.

The rooms are really cool. They are actual Traditional Khmer houses that the hotel acquired and moved them to their property in Siem Reap. They added air conditioning or we might have melted, but the teak wood used to build the houses was beautiful and something we would love in our own house.
